  • Entra ID (Azure AD) Joined devices are now supported for Job Authentication; a new option to Entra ID User Synchronization can automatically create compatible user aliases from concatenated Display names (for job submission from local accounts such as AzureAD\displayName).

  • New page Print Drivers in Settings and new queue options now available, allowing to manage captured drivers for the upcoming printer provisioning and print driver deployment of the MyQ Desktop Client (MDC 10.2 will be required for this functionality).

  • You can now deploy universal IPPS queues with the Desktop Client. The new built-in "IPPS Driver" is available in Settings – Print Drivers. This driver can be chosen in the configuration profile on the Print Drivers page and in the Queue’s MyQ Desktop Client tab. This enables provisioning of the queue by the Desktop Client as an IPPS printer.

  • User synchronization from Google Workspaces (formerly GSuite) via LDAP is now supported also on Standalone MyQ installations.

  • Added support for Integrated Windows Authentication (Windows single sign-on) for Web User Interface and MyQ Desktop Client 10.2, logging in environments where IWA is used can be enabled in Settings – User Authentication and MyQ Desktop Client's Configuration profiles.

  • In addition to permanent PINs, you can now create temporary PINs with limited validity.

  • Desktop Client can now be configured from the Web Admin Interface and multiple configuration profiles can be created, allowing more flexibility in MDC deployments.

  • Users can save passwords in MyQ Web User Interface used to access secured shared folders they have available as destinations for Easy Scan and Easy Print, instead of providing them manually on the Embedded Terminal during each scan. When no password is saved at the time of scan, the user receives an email to connect the folder to have the scan delivered.

  • Users can now manage their own Address Books with Email addresses and Fax numbers. They can select these personal contacts as Scan and Fax recipients on the Embedded Terminal if the terminal action uses the Address Book parameter and destination.

  • When a user scans to a cloud storage they do not have connected, they will receive an email with a quick link to connect their storage immediately, and their scan is then delivered. Scan is no longer disposed. This improves the experience of setting the user's cloud storage.

  • It is possible to run multiple versions of the Embedded Terminal at the same time, and administrators can select devices for which each of these versions should be used; this can help with zero downtime upgrades as well as with trying out new Embedded Terminal versions.

  • It is now possible to set admin username and password for printers via CSV import, allowing the import of these credentials in bulk.

  • In MyQ Desktop Client's configuration profiles, an option to select between Private and Public mode was added; public mode is expected to be used for shared workstations, print rooms, etc. where many different users might need to print; this mode disables storing the print jobs locally on such devices (Client Spooling) as well as ensures that user is logged out automatically after printing or when being idle for more than a minute.

  • Integrations with RightFax and eGoldFax have been added. This enables users to seamlessly send scanned documents complete with specified metadata directly to the Fax server server, which then forwards the documents to the designated fax number.

  • Added support for MyQ in IPv6 networks, IPv6 addresses can now be used across MyQ to configure authentication servers, SMTP, add printers, configure MyQ Desktop Client configuration profiles, and more.

  • Administrators can now automatically connect users synchronized from Azure AD to their OneDrive storage if they set up an Azure application with sufficient permissions as per documentation. Users will not have to individually log in to the MyQ Web User Interface to connect their OneDrive account.

  • The widget "Updates" was added on the admin's Dashboard. When a new version of MyQ or Terminal patch is released, administrators will see the update as available.

  • Option in Easy Config to import only settings from the Database backup file lets administrators to use one server as a template for deploying multiple servers.

  • Print Server now collects more information about connected devices such as Embedded SDK version and platform. Details can be optionally displayed on the Printers page in the MyQ Web Interface.

  • New user's attribute "Alternate email" allows the administrator to add multiple email addresses to a user. If enabled by the administrator, users can submit jobs from these emails and use them as a scan destination.

  • New connector "External Storage API" can be used to connect an API adapter. This way, new scan destinations not natively supported by MyQ can be integrated.

  • Ukrainian was added as a new supported language on MyQ Print Server.

  • MyQ Log interface was largely improved, it now allows saving commonly used filters and reusing them while searching or monitoring live logs.

MyQ Print Server 10.2 (Patch 7)

26 November, 2024

Security

  • Updated components.

Improvements

  • eGoldFax and RightFax connectors now also support sending scanned documents to recipients from their respective address books. A Code Book is automatically created when the service's connector is created; this Code Book can be used as an Easy Scan parameter to select a recipient from the organization's address books managed directly in eGoldFax and RightFax.

Changes

  • Adjusted default values for PJL detection on the queue (for PJL SET USERNAME and PJL COMMENT="USERDOMAIN"). This change does not take effect during upgrades, so ensure your settings are correct as per jobs produced by your drivers.

  • When a specific operation in a quota is set to 0 from the beginning, it results in the operation being disabled. Users do not receive unnecessary emails when working with the Embedded terminals, and quotas starting with 0 can be used to limit certain operations.

Bug Fixes

  • Adjustments were made to the Entra ID synchronization to address problems with some user group memberships being skipped. These adjustments may result in longer synchronization times.

  • The Desktop Client might not always update its settings when switching between two Configuration Profiles if the Client's current Profile has been modified and its effective IP range has changed.

  • When a driver was added to an existing driver configuration profile, the description of the profile might not have been updated with a new description.

  • In Easy Scan, translations were not applied properly on the lists of available parameters, leading to strange names such as "301: &Lib.scanSingleSide" instead of "Single Sided."

  • The emails for quota warnings or complete depletion are not sent for direct prints and Lite terminal prints.

  • In reports, the date picker to set offset in the Advanced range does not have any maximum limit.

  • When anonymizing a user, information in the recently added Department and Custom fields was not removed.

  • When the FTP Server was turned off in the Network settings, it could have resulted in selected Embedded terminals not being able to be installed.

Device Certification

  • Added support for Fujifilm Apeos 3560, 5570, C3060, C3530.

MyQ Print Server 10.2 (Patch 6)

18 October, 2024

Security

  • Improved validation of permissions when opening lists in Web Interface.

  • Updated twig library to 3.14.0.

  • Traefik updated to version 2.11.10.

Improvements

  • NEW FEATURE Added an option to import and export quotas from CSV files, allowing the creation of quota rules per user, user group members, or Accounting Groups and Cost Centers at once.

  • NEW FEATURE Integration with RightFax has been added. This enables users to seamlessly send scanned documents complete with specified metadata directly to the RightFax server, which then forwards the documents to the designated fax number.

  • It is now possible to use passwords longer than 50 characters for Microsoft Exchange Address Book.

  • Added option to select groups to use for memberships in Entra ID user synchronization. It is now possible to synchronize specific users without adding them to a user group.

  • Recently added user attributes (Department, Custom (1), Custom (2), and Custom (3)) are now also available in reports.

  • When user attempts to use an Easy Scan with the ability to browse folders, or Easy Print, while they have not connected the cloud storage used in these actions, they now also receive an email message with steps on how to connect the storage so that they can use it next time.

  • PHP updated to version 8.3.12.

  • When eGoldFax destination is added, the required Easy Scan parameters that need input from the user are automatically created. eGoldFax is now also available as a separate destination type of Easy Scan.

  • Prices are now rounded to a specific number of decimals according to what is configured in Settings – General; this setting was already used in PDF reports.

Changes

  • When restoring a database without a license into an installation already containing a license, this license is not preserved; instead, it is removed and it must be inserted and activated again.

  • It is now not possible to remove columns that are used for grouping in reports. If those columns were removed, the reports might not have rendered optimally.

  • Increased maximum length of terminal action name from 64 to 128 characters.

  • The default Web server port MyQ is installed with has been changed from 8090 to 443 to allow for more user-friendly links. Upgraded installations are not affected. The port can still be changed in Easy Config in case of conflicts with another application.

Bug Fixes

  • Scanning to FTP can fail in specific cases/specific environments. We added a parameter to config.ini to display the option that allows enabling "Legacy mode" for individual FTP scan destinations to accommodate for these environments.

  • When an item is deleted in the remote LDAP Code Book while it is marked as a favorite in MQ, it might not be deleted by System Maintenance from MyQ.

  • In some scenarios, Terminal Services may not start after the database password is changed.

  • Easy Config stops responding when the folder where MyQ is installed is being changed.

  • Full database restore places TA/UTAX terminal database in the wrong location.

  • The queue's Install Windows printer dialogue incorrectly requires a printer model even when "Install only a print port" is selected. When installing together with a driver, it also might fail to load printer models from the .inf file when opened/edited for the second time.

  • Significantly large scanned documents (hundreds of MBs) might not be successfully delivered to OneDrive.

  • Supply (toner) replacement might be falsely detected and appear in reports when the device reports supply levels that are oscillating (e.g., 0 is reported randomly). The detection has been improved to ignore such sudden drops of supply levels.

  • Documents printed from Easy Print are not punched even when Punch is turned on in the Embedded terminal's release options.

  • Easy Scan with Scan separation enabled and utilizing the OCR Server delivers only the first page.

  • During mass-generation of PINs for users, it was an infrequent occurrence that some users were not assigned a PIN due to the system not generating a new unique PIN after encountering a duplicate in the batch.

  • Database upgrade from 10.2 (patch 4) can fail if there is a newly created empty search filter in the log.

  • When an HTTP proxy is used, users or admins might not be able to connect to services such as Microsoft Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, or Sharepoint Online.

  • When the printer name in the queue's Printer provisioning settings (Desktop Client tab) contained special characters, they were displayed incorrectly.

  • REST API: groups and groups.limit might not result in an accurate list of users or groups.

  • Jobs sent via Client Spooling may be displayed on the embedded terminal when Job Roaming is enabled for the user despite the fact that they are not supported for printing. Client Spooling jobs can be printed only locally.

  • Job with a Cost Center payment account assigned might not be released.

  • During Printer Discovery, the action to install a print driver might not be executed properly, leading to drivers not being installed.

  • After terminal package upgrade (in Settings, Printers & Terminals), printers that used the previous terminal version are not activated after their upgrade is completed.

  • When releasing a job to the printer over IPP, an error "The calculated job size and the actual size of the data sent to the printer differs" appears in the Print Server log.

  • It is possible to save an Entra ID user synchronization source with "Users to import" field empty.

  • Job printed without a project cannot be reprinted after projects are enabled.

  • Reprinting a job can cause the Print Server service to crash in some cases.

MyQ Print Server 10.2 (Patch 5)

4 September, 2024

Improvements

  • Added additional user attributes that can be synchronized from Entra ID and LDAP, those are: Department, Custom (1), Custom (2), Custom (3), they can be used to store more user-related information. These fields will also added to reports containing information about users in the upcoming release.

  • When the log is filtered, the Generate Support Data option reflects the date selected in the filter, the end date is pre-filled automatically based on the maximum amount for export, and Type filter has been exchanged with Verbosity.

  • A new option has been added to the Entra ID sync feature, allowing administrators to synchronize groups under a parent group. This enhancement replicates the behavior of LDAP/CSV sync.

  • REST API: When listing users, their groups can also be requested in the users endpoints.

  • Added option to disable Printer provisioning in specific Desktop Client's profile, allowing for more flexibility when the automatic provisioning on the user's computer in specific network is not desirable.

  • Upgrade were improved for the previous versions to allow the same upgrade processes as known from older MyQ X versions, and Upgrade option has been renamed to Replace.

  • Fields Notes and Email have been added to the Entra ID synchronization options, and can be now also adjusted. By default, Email uses the "email" user properties; Notes does not use any default.

  • Azure cloud service connections' Edit/Re-authorize flows were improves in order to prevent invalid configuration.

  • Adjustments and improvements to the eGoldFax integration such as allowing multiple fax addresses and email addresses for the Confirmation email.

  • It's now possible to add ID cards with up to 32 characters, accommodating modern methods such as those generated by Apple Wallet.

  • User/Group selector widget allows to see more search results in case there are many items with the same name.

  • You can now select multiple search results while holding the Ctrl/Command key in any multi-item selection widget (users, groups, printers, etc.).

  • PHP updated to version 8.3.11.

Changes

  • The Terminal column containing status and version of the Embedded terminal is now visible by default on the Printers page.

  • The printer name used for Printer provisioning must now be unique across all driver profiles for a given queue. This change is necessary because Windows does not allow the creation of printers with duplicate names, regardless of case sensitivity.

  • Jobs paused due to not having been assigned a charging account (e.g. when a user has both credit and quota account available at the time of spooling the job) were previously not displayed on the embedded terminals on the Ready tab; now, they are – since the account can be selected by the user after login on thre embedded terminal, and all printed jobs in this session will be accounted towards this account.

Bug Fixes

  • Searching in log for special characters in Easy Config causes Easy Config to close.

  • Adjusting columns width affects all columns in some tables.

  • Error message "Terminal package is already in use" is displayed if the terminal package is installed during the installation of another package.

  • Temporary files in C:\Program Files\MyQ\PhpApps\var\tmp can take too much space. Now these temp files are deleted after restart of services and generating data for support instead of only Maintenance scheduled task.

  • Selecting "Windows Services Account>Custom Account" is not working when selecting specific user with error invalid username or password.

  • Jobs received at the same second are not in correct order.

  • User ID card is case sensitive preventing user to login by card in some cases.
