Here’s an overview of the new features included in MyQ 10.3 Print and Central Server.

Release Stations

A Release Station is a new browser-based kiosk application for secure job release on printers that don’t have an embedded terminal. Use a Release Station to provide self-service printing solution, as a single device kiosk or a common printing room.

Release Stations run in browser kiosk mode (for example, Microsoft Edge kiosk mode on Windows).
Users log in to a Release Station using a PIN, ID card, or account credentials, then select a printer and release their queued jobs. Unknown ID card registration is supported.
Each printer assigned to one or more Release Stations consumes an Embedded Lite license.
Supports credit and quota accounting. Cost Centers accounting mode is not supported.

MyQ Scan Review

MyQ Scan Review works with the Easy Scan terminal action to create a document review workflow which supports replacement scanning processes. It enables organizations to capture paper documents, review scanned images, and maintain an auditable record of the scanning process before hard copies are archived.

Scan Review is a separately installed service that connects to an instance of Print Server. Specified MyQ users can then submit documents for review using the Easy Scan terminal action, and log into Scan Review directly to review and approve documents.

Features:

Intended for organizations that must comply with regulatory requirements for trustworthy digitization, including Germany's TR-RESISCAN guidelines.
Document queues can be configured with specific reviewers, destinations, protection levels and transfer note details.
Reviewers can inspect scanned documents, search their contents, view metadata and approve or reject submissions.
Approved documents can be delivered to local or network folders or SFTP servers.
An audit log records relevant actions and can be searched and filtered by criteria such as user, document, date, queue and protection level.
Each device set up with a Scan Review terminal action consumes an Embedded Ultimate license.

MyQ Document Processor (MDP)

MyQ Document Processor works with Easy Scan to process scanned documents and then forward them to the configured scan destination.

MyQ Document Processor is a separately installed service that connects to an instance of Print Server. Create an OCR Profile that uses MDP and assign it in Easy Scan Processing options of your terminal action.

Features:

OCR processing with output formats including PDF, PDF/A, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, and TXT.
Split scanned documents by:
- page interval
- barcode/QR code separator page
- matching barcode/QR code value
Automatic blank page removal, with paper profile selection for accurate detection.

Delta Synchronization for Microsoft Entra ID

MyQ now supports delta (incremental) synchronization for Microsoft Entra ID sources using the Microsoft Graph API. When enabled, MyQ checks Entra ID for changes - new users, updated attributes, disabled or deleted accounts, group renames, and membership changes - since the last delta run, and applies only those changes. This allows the synchronization to run every few minutes instead of once a day, so changes in Entra ID reach MyQ much faster.

To enable this feature, open the Entra ID sync source in MyQ > Settings > User Synchronization, go to the General tab, and select Enable delta synchronization. Then enable the new User Delta Synchronization scheduled task (default interval: 10 minutes) to process all sources that have this option enabled. The existing full synchronization continues to run on its daily schedule and acts as a safety net.

IPP Pass-Through Mode for WPP-Compatible Queues

MyQ Print Server can now propagate the full set of IPP capabilities from the target printer to the MyQ queue. When a queue uses IPP pass-through, users printing over IPP or in Windows Protected Print (WPP) environments can access advanced print options, such as detailed stapling and punching combinations and tray selection, directly from the print dialog. This feature is supported for direct queues and pull print queues using IPP/IPPS output. For pull print queues, you can select which printer's capabilities are used as the source.

Require Authentication for IPPS Jobs

Added Require authentication option in MyQ > Settings > Jobs > Jobs via IPPS. When enabled, the IPP server enforces authentication for all IPP and IPPS print jobs and rejects unauthenticated requests. Enabling this option requires MyQ Desktop Client 10.2 patch 13 or later for Windows and patch 7 or later for macOS. Operating systems that do not support IPP authentication will not be able to print when this option is enabled.
