This topic introduces the MyQ system settings. To access the settings below, go to MyQ > Settings.
Server Type
On the Server Type settings tab, you can set whether the server runs as a Standalone server or a Site server, and, for a Site server, configure its connection to the Central server (site name, Central server address, port, and communication password).
License
On the License settings tab, you can view your installation key, add, activate refresh and remove licenses, and manage software assurance plans.
Sites
On the Sites main tab, you can view and manage all Site servers connected to the Central server, group sites by region or organizational need, and monitor the status of data replication from each site.
General
On the General settings tab, you can set the administrator email, change regional settings, and other general settings.
Personalization
On the Personalization settings tab, you can add custom help links and custom logos to be used in various parts of the MyQ system.
Task Scheduler
On the Task scheduler settings tab, you can add new task schedules, change their settings and run scheduled tasks.
Network
On the Network settings tab, you can modify network settings such as certificates, server ports, etc.
Connections
On the Connections Settings tab, you connect MyQ to external cloud services such as Amazon S3, Gmail, Microsoft Entra applications, MyQ Scan Review, MyQ Document Processor, RightFax, and others.
SNMP
On the SNMP settings tab, you can create and manage SNMP v1, v2c, and v3 profiles, and assign them to printing devices for secure device communication.
Authentication Servers
On the Authentication servers settings tab, you can add LDAP, Microsoft Entra ID and Radius servers for user authentication.
Printers & Terminals
On the Printers & Terminals settings tab, you can manage terminal packages and configure embedded terminal behavior, divided into General, MyQ X Mobile Client, Device Spooling, Offline Login, and Terminal packages sections.
Configuration Profiles
On the Configuration Profiles settings tab, you can create profiles that bundle terminal type, login methods, price list, and network settings, and attach them to printers for embedded terminal setup.
Printer Discovery
On the Printer Discovery settings tab, you can create and run discoveries that search a defined IP range for network printing devices and add the ones you want into MyQ.
Terminal Actions
On the Terminal Actions settings tab, you can configure the layout and behavior of the embedded terminal's action buttons (Print, Copy, Scan, Fax, and others).
Release Stations
On the Release Stations settings tab, you can define and configure kiosk-based shared printing services.
Events
On the Events settings tab, you can define printer alert events (based on printing device alerts) that trigger notifications or terminal actions.
Event Actions
On the Event Actions settings tab, you can configure what happens when a printer event fires: an email notification to selected people, or termination of the user's session on the device's embedded terminal.
MyQ Desktop Client
On the MyQ Desktop Client settings tab, you can configure MDC settings and deployment, including configuration profiles assigned to specific locations and the print queues installed on client computers.
Printer Provisioning
On the Printer Provisioning settings tab, you can create Printer Provisioning Profiles that deploy print queues, drivers, and default settings to Desktop Client users based on IP range, hostname, user, or user group.
Print Drivers
On the Print Drivers settings tab, you can manage print driver sets captured by the Desktop Client, for use with Legacy Printer Provisioning.
Users
On the Users settings tab, you can configure general user account options (enable user profile editing, show more info in the user profile widget, enable personal queues settings, delegate changes, and deleting all ID cards), set up new user registration (via the Web Interface, job submission, or email), and configure timeout and account lockout settings.
Policies
On the Policies settings tab, you can create print job policies and printer policies that control default job settings, user permissions, and access to printing device functions like copy, scan, and fax.
User Synchronization
On the User Synchronization settings tab, you can import and synchronize users from LDAP servers, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and other sources, and configure their properties.
User Authentication
On the User Authentication settings tab, you can manage how users authenticate to MyQ, including ID card management, PIN generation, password complexity, and external authentication servers.
Rights
On the Rights settings tab, you can give users or groups of users administrator rights, or rights to run specific MyQ agendas (managing printers, users, jobs, reports, and more).
Accounting
On the Accounting settings tab, you can set the accounting mode (Accounting Group or Cost Center) and the payment account priority for terminals and queues that don't support account selection.
Credit
On the Credit settings tab, you can activate credit-based accounting, where users can print, copy, and scan only while they have sufficient credit, and configure recharge methods.
Quota
On the Quota settings tab, you can set limits on printed, copied, or scanned pages, or on the overall cost of print services, per user or group.
Projects
On the Projects settings tab, you can activate project accounting so print, copy, and scan jobs can be assigned to projects and their costs distributed accordingly.
Price Lists
On the Price Lists settings tab, you can create price lists and attach them to configuration profiles to assess the cost of each print, copy, scan, and fax operation.
Jobs
On the Jobs settings tab, you can configure global print job settings, including the job parser, job archiving, job previews, and notifications for refused jobs.
Scanning & OCR
On the Scanning & OCR settings tab, you can configure Scan to Me, set up OCR profiles that use either the MyQ Document Processor or a third-party application.
Code Books
On the Code Books settings tab, you can add code books and code lists (LDAP source, internal code list, MS Exchange address book, and fax phonebooks) for use in scan profiles.
Reports
On the Reports main tab, you can create, generate, and schedule reports on users, printing devices, and print jobs, exportable as PDF, CSV, XML, XLSX, or ODS.
External Reports
On the External Reports settings tab, you can enable a read-only database account for external BI tools and reporting software to safely query the MyQ database.
REST API Apps
On the REST API Apps settings tab, you can register applications for access to the MyQ REST API, each with a title, scope, client ID, and secret.
Log
On the Log settings tab, you can set the Log notifier feature, which enables sending notifications about selected log events to the administrator and/or any number of MyQ users.
System Management
On the System management settings tab, you can change settings of the MyQ history, set the maximum size of files that can be uploaded on the MyQ Web Interface, delete data from the MyQ database, and also reset MyQ components to apply settings previously made on other tabs.
