Microsoft Entra Apps and MyQ

Several MyQ X integrations use Microsoft Entra applications to authenticate MyQ and authorize access to Microsoft services:

  • Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Graph

  • OneDrive for Business

  • SharePoint Online

  • Exchange Online

  • Universal Print

Depending on the integration and your organization’s requirements, you can use automatic setup or register the application manually.

Automatic Setup

MyQ supports automatic setup for Microsoft Entra ID, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Online. This is the recommended option when the administrator performing the setup has the required Microsoft Entra permissions.

Automatic setup creates a service principal, displayed under Enterprise applications in the customer’s Microsoft Entra tenant, and configures the credentials and permissions required by the integration.

See Automatic App Registration.

Manual Setup

Use manual setup when your organization requires direct control over application registration, credentials, permissions, or administrator consent.

A manually registered application can be shared by Microsoft Entra ID, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Online, provided it includes the settings and permissions required by each enabled integration.

Exchange Online and Universal Print require dedicated application registrations because they use different application configurations. Do not add them to the shared registration.

See Manual App Registrations .

Before registering an application, determine:

  • which integrations it will support

  • whether it will be shared or dedicated

  • the Microsoft Entra tenant in which it will be registered

  • the MyQ server hostname and HTTPS port, where required

  • whether it requires a client secret

  • the required redirect URIs, API permissions, and authentication scopes

Complete the Integration in MyQ

Application registration prepares the Microsoft side of the integration. Complete the corresponding connection, synchronization, authentication, or service configuration in the relevant MyQ X Server settings.
