This page summarizes notable features introduced in MyQ X 10.2, organized by area.
For a complete list of changes, see:
Embedded Terminals
-
Theme Editor – A built-in editor for customizing the appearance of terminal actions.
-
Updated User Interface – Updated terminal action layouts and icons.
-
Favorite Actions – Users can save personalized workflows based on available terminal actions and access them from a dedicated screen.
-
Unknown Card Registration – Users can assign an unregistered ID card to their account by swiping the card and then signing in at the terminal.
-
MyQ Ultimate – OCR-based smart workflows, advanced document capture, and automated processing became available on all supported 10.2 Embedded Terminals.
MyQ Desktop Client 10.2
-
Automatic Printer Provisioning – MyQ Desktop Client (MDC) can automatically install printers on users’ computers according to their assigned printers and queues. Administrators can centrally manage print drivers, create printer configurations with predefined print settings, and assign them to selected MyQ queues.
-
Printer Profile Provisioning – From Print Server 10.2 patch 21 and MDC for Windows 10.2 patch 10, Printer Profile Provisioning (3P) expanded automatic provisioning with captured print drivers, print driver sets, and provisioning profiles. Administrators can assign printers, queues, drivers, and default print settings according to user identity and IP range.
-
Configuration Profiles – Administrators can create multiple configuration profiles and apply them according to network or subnet. This allows different MDC settings to be used for departments, shared workstations, and BYOD users.
-
Sign-in Methods – Sign in with Microsoft replaced legacy Microsoft authentication methods. Public and private modes can be configured for different workstations.
-
Accounting – An accounting pop-up prompts users to select the applicable project, credit account, quota, or cost center before a job is processed.
-
Fallback Printing and Client Spooling – Fallback printing and its accounting behavior were improved. When using Client Spooling, print options, print policies, and watermark settings are preserved.
Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365
-
Multiple tenants – Support for multiple Microsoft Entra tenants.
-
Microsoft Entra Connect – Improved synchronization from environments using Microsoft Entra Connect.
-
Microsoft 365 storage – Simplified setup for OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online, including the option to connect storage automatically for Microsoft 365 users.
-
Synchronization settings – Regular-expression transformations and more granular synchronization settings for Microsoft Entra ID and LDAP sources.
Security
-
Temporary PINs – Administrators can limit PIN validity for selected users or user groups.
-
PIN Rules – New rules prevent easily guessed PIN combinations, such as
1234or1111. The default PIN length was increased to six digits.

-
Password-Protected Storage – Users can print from or scan to password-protected storage after connecting their account through the MyQ Web Interface.
-
Undeliverable Scan Handling – If a user scans to storage that they have not yet connected, MyQ sends an email that allows them to connect the storage and complete delivery or retrieve the scanned document from the email.
MyQ X Chromebook Client
-
ChromeOS Printing – The MyQ X Chromebook Client integrates ChromeOS devices with a MyQ print environment. Users can authenticate and submit jobs to MyQ queues through the native ChromeOS printing interface for subsequent secure release.
