Personalize the Embedded Terminal

Once physical printers have been added to your Network and configured so that your users can access them, it might seem like it’s time to get printing. However, there is one important step left to consider before your printing environment is complete.

Personalizing and customizing the displays on your hardware terminals can save time and errors in your workflows. By naming different actions relevantly for users, adding recognizable logos, and having a consistent aesthetic across your terminals, everyone's work is streamlined.

Terminal Action Layout

When you have MyQ X set up and running on your printing devices, logged in users are shown Terminal Actions. These are pre-set workflows which might let a user scan to a particular Cloud Storage, print from a certain folder, or send a fax to a saved recipient, which just one touch of a button.

These actions can be configured before their use by an administrator, who can choose not only which users should have access to what terminal actions, but the order they will appear in on the device, or if they will be sorted into folders.

In addition, users can then select Favorite Actions to organize on a separate screen, allowing them faster access to the functions they use most.

Custom Themes and Branding

In addition to customizing the layout of functions on your physical terminals, you can also alter the way they look. From choosing to display a custom logo on the sign-in screen, to choosing the title, color, and logo of each action, you have complete control over the UI your users encounter.

Whether you prefer to manage each visual decision across your devices, or simply select a pre-made theme, creating a consistent visual language across a multi-brand fleet makes all interactions simpler, faster, and less prone to error.
