While MyQ is designed to be as lightweight as possible, large installations with heavily used devices might require network optimization. Remember that an insufficient network can lead to unreliable experiences when using MyQ. It is necessary to reserve optimum throughput for MyQ.

Firewall Settings

MyQ uses several ports for communication, e.g. for transmissions of jobs and scans, reading connected devices, sending emails, and much more. These ports should have set exceptions in your firewall. If not set correctly, this will result in network errors.

Some used ports are fixed and not adjustable, others can be changed to fit your environment. See the list of main communication ports for the Print Server as well as communication ports used by the Central Server to find out how ports can be configured.
