To add IPPS printing via Linux:

  1. Set up a CUPS service in order to add a printer.

  2. Add a printer.

  3. In the New printer window click Enter URL. Type the device URL in the Enter device URL field, in the https://{hostname}:{port}/queue/{queue-name} format.

  4. Click Forward.

  5. In the Choose Driver pane select Generic.

  6. Click Forward.

  7. In the next window, under Choose Driver, select IPP Everywhere. Although the selection option says IPP, this protocol is used for IPPS spooling.

  8. Click Forward.

  9. Enter the name of the printer.

  10. Click Finish.
